Co-Creation Hub
agos is Africa’s largest city in terms of population. With over twenty million people and a strong ecosystem of innovation hubs, investors, talent and corporate stakeholders, it is a land of promise for startups.
Despite challenges in infrastructure, Lagos has produced some of Africa’s most influential tech companies over the past decade. MainOne, BudgIT, Flutterwave, Interswitch, Paystack and many more can trace their beginnings to the city and have gone on to become globally recognized names in the tech industry.
Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB) is an innovation center rooted in Nigeria and with offices in Kenya and Rwanda that is dedicated to accelerating the application of social capital and technology for a better society. Since our inception in 2010, we have provided a platform for startups and entrepreneurs solving critical problems in Africa to thrive. Over the years, we have supported over six hundred startups through our various support programs using funding, mentorship, distribution and business support to help them scale their impact. Our coworking space in Lagos is one of the most affordable in the city and it supplies entrepreneurs, developers and freelancers with amenities including a stable power supply, high-speed internet, meeting rooms and dedicated office space.
As a thought leader in the ecosystem, we have also played a key role in facilitating discourse among global tech leaders and corporations, government organizations and our community. We have hosted Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey and many other inspiring executives on their visits to Nigeria, providing a platform for our community members to interact with and learn from them.
We are excited about Startup Guide Lagos because it documents the stories of the founders, programs, startups, investors, spaces and schools making an impact on the startup ecosystem in Lagos and also amplifies their work on a global scale.
Over the next five years, we are optimistic that the ecosystem in Lagos will play a major role in fixing Nigeria’s pressing economic and social issues by creating impactful solutions. We also believe that it will continue to attract investments that will further develop talent, create jobs and help the region become more competitive on a global scale.
